AVID achieves industry-first EnviroDevelopment certification

AVID Property Group is proud to be the first national property developer in Australia to achieve prestigious EnviroDevelopment certifications on its entire portfolio of live masterplanned community projects.

The Urban Development Institute of Australia (UDIA)’s EnviroDevelopment certification is a scientifically-based assessment scheme that independently reviews development projects to award certification across six ‘leaves’ – ecosystems, waste, energy, materials, water and community.

Within months of its official launch, AVID’s Harmony development achieved a South-East Queensland first, receiving accreditation across all six leaves.

Setting new industry benchmarks, Brentwood Forest in Queensland and Harvest in New South Wales have recently been accredited six leaves.

AVID’s Victorian developments – Bloomdale and Savana – also achieved a 5 leaf and 4 leaf accreditation respectively, demonstrating AVID’s commitment to sustainability.

UDIA Queensland CEO Marina Vit said AVID was setting new standards for masterplanned community developments.

“It is a significant achievement for a single developer to receive EnviroDevelopment certifications across its current portfolio of masterplanned communities,” Ms Vit said.

“I congratulate AVID Property Group for working carefully to protect the environment and use resources responsibly.

“The EnviroDevelopment certification demonstrates developers and industry working together to create sustainable communities that benefit both the environment and future residents.”
